Councillorship hopeful for Ikenegbu Ward 2 in Owerri Municipal, Hon. Opara Chigaekwu Success has insisted that he will deliver his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections, leveraging his IT knowledge and grassroots mobilization experience.

Speaking with newsmen in Owerri on Tuesday, Opara, who is the CEO of Ekwutosblog and popularly known as Ezeumuokorobia, said his background as a media entrepreneur and IT expert gives him a unique advantage to mobilize voters, especially the youth and student population.

According to him, politics has gone beyond sharing wrappers and caps, stressing that modern elections are won with data, digital engagement and strategic communication.

“My IT knowledge will be my biggest weapon to deliver APC in Ikenegbu Ward 2. We have already launched Campus Alliance for house-to-house campaign to mobilize students across IMSU and other tertiary institutions in Owerri Zone who constitute over 60% of voters,” Opara said.

The former councilorship aspirant, who was recently inaugurated into the Prince Alex Mbata Campaign Organization in Ikenegbu Ward 2, said he remains a faithful and dedicated member of the APC, dismissing rumours of defection as the handiwork of detractors jealous of his growing influence in the Ward.

He reaffirmed his commitment to work for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prince Dr. Alex Mbata for Imo East Senatorial District, Hon. Tochukwu Okere for Owerri Federal Constituency and Hon. Ugochukwu Obodo for Owerri Municipal State Constituency in the January 2027 general elections.

Opara, a former student of Sociology at Imo State University, added that his years of youth engagement through Ekwutosblog have prepared him for effective representation and result-oriented campaign.

“I am coming to serve my people of Ikenegbu Ward 2 and to shape our society for the next generation with transparency, innovation and high moral standard,” he declared.

He called on APC stakeholders in Ikenegbu Ward 2, including Hon. Nnenna Ohiri and other leaders, to remain united and caution those spreading falsehood, as the party moves to retain its dominance in Owerri Municipal.
