I will make Osun unsafe for criminals – Amotekun Corps Commander, Omoyele

The Corps Commander, Osun Security Network Agency, Amotekun Osun, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd) has vowed to make the state uninhabitable for criminals.

He also warned that any criminal operating within the state would not be allowed to escape.

Omoyele gave the warning while speaking with DAILY POST on the sideline of his screening by the Osun State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

The Osun Amotekun boss, who revealed that he has been part of crime fighting in Osun State since his days in the Nigeria Police, said he would bring his crime fighting experience to bear in ensuring that peace remained across the state.

“The peace being enjoyed in Osun State is what I am part of. I have been part of the team that ensured that peace.

“I was part of the team that checked cross boundary crimes in Osun. We tackled kidnapping and armed robbery in the state.

“Our fight against crime made criminals find it difficult to penetrate Osun and they had to flee from the state.

“They know there is somebody that will get them when they commit such crimes.

“I know criminals will not come. They cannot come to Osun because they won’t go back when they come.

“Now that I am on board, I know what to do.

“I have obtained the map of the state from the Surveyor General. We are working on it to know the strategy to put in place.

“We don’t intend to allow any criminal to escape from the state.

“We are also looking for ways of engraving collaboration between all the security agencies operating in the state,” he said.

While noting that the task ahead was herculean, he added that failure was not an option for him.

On the debate for state police, Omoyele also stated that it was the way to go.

“We are good to go with state policing,” he stated.
