Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen is among the list of strikers Manchester United want to sign for their manager Ruben Amorim.

Man United have been linked with the Nigeria international this summer.

Osimhen is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli and the 26-year-old is expected to leave the Serie A side on a permanent transfer this summer transfer window.

He scored his 26th goal in the Turkish top-flight league on Friday as they defeated İstanbul Başakşehir 2-0.

The goal ensured Osimhen now has 37 goals in all competition for Galatasaray this season.

The match against İstanbul Başakşehir was Osimhen’s final game for Galatasaray this season as his loan deal expires this summer.

However, as reported by the Sun UK, Osimhen is among the five strikers Man United are targeting ahead of Amorim’s imminent squad overhaul.

The other four strikers are Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting Lisbon), Liam Delap (Ipswich Town),
Hugo Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Moise Kean (Fiorentina).

Meanwhile, Delap is close to joining Man United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams believes they are getting closer to beating the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

South Africa have recorded just two wins in 17 outings against Nigeria.

Hugo Broos’ side came close to beating the Super Eagles in their last two games but still fell short.

The Super Eagles triumphed 4-3 on penalities in their semi-final encounter at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The two teams battled to a 1-1 draw in their last meeting in September 2024.

Williams is hoping they will finally end the run this time around.

“We’re getting closer and closer to beating them. We saw it at AFCON, we saw it when we played them away in Nigeria. Hopefully, we can take that extra step and change the narrative,” the Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper told reporters.
