Transfer: Victor Osimhen gives Galatasaray conditions to sign for them

An insider at Galatasaray, Ali Naci Küçük, has revealed that Victor Osimhen has given conditions with which he would consider remaining at the club.

He said it was one of Osimhen’s conditions that led to the club’s signing of Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich.

He said the signing of Sanè was part of their strategy to lure Nigerian highly sought after striker to join them.

Ali Naci Küçük told Futbol Arena Youtube channel viahabersarikirmizi that Osimhen said he would only stay at the Super Lig if they are able bring in new top stars and build a solid team.

Germany international, Sané is all set to move to the Super Lig champions after his contract at Bundesliga champions expires on June 30.

Sane could decide to play for Bayern Munich at the FIFA Club World Cup which started yesterday in the United States of America.

The former Manchester City star already agreed a 3-year deal with the Turkish giants and with a net salary of €9m per season and a loyalty bonus of €3m.

Galatasaray want Osimhen to remain at the club having had a loan spell in which he netted 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances for the club.

Osimhen, however, is in no hurry to decide his future.

“When Icardi signed for Galatasaray, he said, ‘If we are going to build a strong team, I will stay.’ Osimhen used the same sentence.”

Küçük urged the fans and media to respect the striker’s patience and decision-making process.

“Now let’s talk about the transfer issue. Galatasaray is in a hurry, but Osimhen is not.

“The player needs to be treated with understanding. Galatasaray has done the math well at the moment.”

The Turkish giants are said to have offered the Nigerian €14 million plus bonuses in wages, which the former African Footballer of the Year is currently considering.

Former Super Eagles forward, Osaze Odemwingie, has slammed the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, for singling out players for blame following a recent 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The three-time African champions needed two wins from two fixtures in September to keep their hopes alive.

After a narrow 1-0 victory against Rwanda in Uyo, Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw in South Africa.

Following the draw in Bloemfontein, the NFF in a post-match report, pointed fingers at captain William Troost-Ekong and striker Cyriel Dessers.

“It is a sign that wrong people are working in our federation, it’s very unprofessional,” Odemwingie said according to Brila FM.

“These are people who work in certain positions without the required qualifications.

“They are just like fans — you can give that job to ordinary fans, and he will probably do a job as good as that person has done.”

EPL: He’s so composed, my favourites – David James picks best goalkeeper

Former England goalkeeper, David James has suggested that Liverpool’s Alisson Becker remains the best goalkeeper in the league despite Manchester City signing Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to James, the Brazilian international is his favourite goalkeeper in the Premeir League and he is so composed.

Speaking to the media (via Daily Mirror), James said: “My favourite keeper for many different reasons is Ali. Because he has all the attributes.

“He stops shots, his distribution is fantastic, his composure is so admirable and if he makes a mistake, within three seconds you don’t know what happened.

“He is just so composed about things. There are other keepers like David Raya at Arsenal, but for whatever reason, Ali is better. It is going to be very difficult for Mamardashvili to take his place.”

Liverpool signed Becker from AS Roma back in 2018 and the shot-stopper has helped the Reds to win several trophies including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
