Following series of alledged complaints and contentious bickerings within the Imo ADC that few people within the coalition had already produced Ward & LGA exco lists across the state, ignoring ADC leaders in their various Wards and LGAs; the Mbaitoli Born Media guru and Candidate for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the 2023 National Assembly elections under ADC, Mazi Chinonso Uba Nonsonkwa has issued a stern warning to those who had or are still producing Ward & LGA lists without the consent of ADC leaders and members across the state.

Speaking to a selected media House in Imo few days ago, Mazi Nonsonkwa maintained that the Coalition members are patners with the ADC and should not over step their boundaries.
He reiterated that following series of ADC meetings at both the state , Zonal, LGA and Ward levels, the party has continued to harp on due process in the production of Ward and LGA Exco lists.

Nonsonkwa who is the Apex Leader of the Party in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, warned that there is no room for any form of Manipulation or hijack of the party ,stressing that such scenario will not argur well for the party in Imo State.

He urgued all Coalition patners from PDP, Labour, CPC, APGA and other parties including the Obedients, Rebuild Imo ,etc to abide strictly by the rules.

Nonsonkwa further revealed that no list produced without the consent of ADC members would fly.

He warned various groups within the coalition to desist from divisive tendencies and neglecting the original members of ADC in their various Wards and LGAs, maintaining that if neglected, the Party might not remain the same .

” I was informed of some lists flying up and down in various Wards and LGAs in the state and when I enquired if the procedures to those lists, I discovered it came only from a particular group not even a coalition party partner.

This is totally unacceptable in ADC and won’t see the light of the day”

Nonsonkwa made it clear that the ADC Coalition is the only potent weapon to sacking Tinubu and APC in Nigeria and Imo State come 2027.

According to him, ” We Need to show other parties that we are different from PDP and APC by abiding and sticking to due process .Its Written that Come 2027, ADC will occupy Aso Rock & Douglas House. ADC will match APC tactics to tactics! All their plans to rig the 2027 elections have been exposed and they will be disgraced at the pools”

State House of Assembly suspends LG chairman

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has suspended the Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Mohammad Haliru Arabo, for three months over his role in the unlawful removal of the council’s Speaker.

The decision was taken during plenary in Lafia after a motion was raised by Musa Ibrahim Abubakar, who leads the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Lawmakers agreed that the action was needed to allow a fair investigation and calm the tension that followed the leadership dispute in the council.

The Speaker of the House, Danladi Jatau, said the suspension will stand until the committee completes its findings.

He said that the current structure of the Lafia Legislative Arm will remain unchanged throughout the investigation.

During this period, the Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Uba Arikiya, has been directed to take charge of the council.

The Speaker explained that the House acted within the powers given to it by the constitution and questioned why the Chairman ventured into matters that belong to the legislature.

The Clerk of the House has been asked to notify Governor Abdullahi Sule of the resolution.

Lawmakers such as Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, Suleiman Yakubu Azara, and Larry Ven-Bawa backed the move, saying that the suspension would help prevent a wider crisis in the council and send a clear message to other local governments in the state.
