The family of singer Mohbad  seek court order for his son’s DNA test

The family of the late music star wants the court to direct his widow to submit her son for DNA.

The family of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has sought the order of the Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ikorodu, Lagos State, for a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) test for Liam, the son of the late music star.

In a statement signed by a member of the family’s legal team, Monisola Odumosu, it was disclosed that the court order would direct that the DNA test be conducted in a recognised and accredited government or private medical facility within the state at the expense of the applicant.

The statement read, “A date has been fixed for mention of the DNA test application requested by the family of the late ace pop singer, Mr Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (also known as Mohbad), who died September 12, 2023, in an unusual circumstance. All necessary legal apparatus are (sic) in place to see to the success of the matter.

“The application is at the Family Court of the Ikorodu Magistrate Court (MKD/31/FAM/2024), Joseph Aloba v Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba. The family, represented by the deceased father, is seeking an order of the court directing that a deoxyribonucleic acid test be conducted concerning the paternity of Master Liam Aloba, an alleged son of Mr Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (deceased), in a recognised and accredited government or private medical facility within Lagos State, Nigeria at the expense of the applicant.”

According to Odumosu, the family also sought an order directing Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Aloba to submit herself and Liam, for the DNA test.

The legal team added that the application filed by the family also sought an order granting leave to the chief pathologist in charge of the remains of Mohbad presently at the Military Hospital, Yaba Lagos, to take samples of the body of the deceased to conduct a DNA test for Liam.

The statement, however, has it that an attempt to serve the court process on Mohbad’s wife on Friday, March 8, at her Lekki home was not successful.

“According to the process server, those from whom enquiries were made to serve the process on her said she had not been seen in the house recently. The legal team has said they will look at an alternative method to ensure that all the court processes are legally served on her,” it added.

Mohbad passed away at the age of 27, with circumstances surrounding his death sparking controversies on social media.

While the deceased’s father suspects foul play, he’s equally challenging the paternity of his grandson.

Rapper, Jesse Jagz, last night joined the Instagram live session of media personality, Daddy Freeze,to cuss him and other Nigerians for discussing 2Face Idibia’s alleged marital crisis.

Earlier on Monday, December 1, Tori News reported that a former manager of 2Face, Kaka Igbokwe, had an interview with Daddy Freeze on IG where he made some shocking allegations about 2Face’s marriage to Natasha.

Kala alleged that Natasha is severely abusive towards 2Face and that things are so bad 2Face feels like he is a ‘’House Husband”. He also alleged that the couple abuse drugs and would need Rehab and Therapy to heal.

He went further to claim that Natasha is now in control of 2Face’s finances and has been making bad decisions with the monies in her possession.

His revelation left many in shock, and calls were made for 2face to be “rescued”. The singer came out on Wednesday, December 3, to appeal to Nigerians to ‘’cease fire” as the hate on his wife Natasha is dangerous and puts her in harms way.

In the live session with DaddyFreeze, Jesse jags said 2Face is a legend and should be left alone. He went further to say he will be living Jos where he is based to Abuja to go and free 2Face.

His appearance and countenance during the live session however raised concerns amongst some Nigerians as he was smoking while speaking.

“I am physically heading from Jos to Abuja tomorrow morning. I am physically going to remove 2Baba make him go drink beer. Make him smoke Igbo” he said

Rapper Abdulkareems Instagram And Facebook Accounts Suspended After Release Of Song Inviting US President Trump To Nigeria..

The social media accounts, Facebook and Instagram of popular Nigerian musician and activist Eedris Abdulkareem have been suspended by the management of the microblogging site Meta.

It was gathered that his accounts were flagged and taken down, with no access, less than a week after the music star released a new single titled “Open Letter to Donald Trump.”

In the song, Abdulkareem addresses the President of the United States, Donald Trump, appealing for his quick intervention to help resolve crises, particularly the security challenges confronting Nigeria.
Released under his label, Lakreem Entertainment, on TikTok on November 29, 2025, the song is described as both a message to the US President and a sharp critique of Nigeria’s political elite.

Abdulkareem describes Nigerian leaders as “criminals of all shades and hues” who enrich themselves while citizens suffer amid severe insecurity, including kidnappings, killings, and terrorism.
While singing “dem dey fear Donald Trump,” the rapper positions the song as an effort to bring global attention to Nigeria’s deepening crises.
