US adds 18 Nigerians to ‘worst-of-the-worst’ deportation list

Published

The United States Department of Homeland Security, DHS, has expanded its deportation list to include an additional 18 Nigerians classified under its “worst-of-the-worst” criminal offenders category, raising the total number of Nigerians slated for removal to 97.

This development comes barely a week after 79 Nigerians convicted of various crimes had been earmarked for deportation by U.S. authorities.

A review of the DHS official website on Monday revealed that 18 more names had been added to the register, signaling an intensification of the ongoing enforcement exercise.

Updated DHS records show that offences linked to the newly listed individuals largely revolve around wire fraud, mail fraud, and identity theft.

In a statement accompanying the publication, the department explained that the arrests form part of a nationwide operation targeting criminal immigrants.

“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement,” the statement read.

It further stated, “Under Secretary Noem’s leadership, the dedicated personnel of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s mandate by implementing mass deportations, beginning with the most dangerous offenders, including the illegal aliens listed here.”

Among the Nigerians newly named are Oluwaseyanu Akinola Afolabi, Olugbeminiyi Aderibigbe, Benjamin Ifebajo, Obinwanne Okeke, Kolawole Aminu, Oluwadamilola Olufunsho Ojo, and Franklin Ibeabuchi.

Others on the list include Alex Afolabi Ogunshakin, Joshua Ineh, Stephen Oseghale, Eghosa Obaretin, Adesina Surajudeen Lasisi, Ibrahim Ijaoba, Azeez Yinusa, Charles Akabuogu, Kelechi Umeh, Lotenna Chisom Umeadi, Donald Ehie, and Chukwudi Kingsley Kalu.

The updated figures reflect the Trump administration’s sustained hardline approach to immigration enforcement, with a focus on removing foreign nationals convicted of serious crimes, including a growing number of Nigerians.

NAHCON Chairman, Sheikh Abdullahi Resigns

The Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Sheikh Abdullahi Pakistan has resigned from his position.

According to Western Post, the NAHCON boss resigned late on Monday night.

It would be recalled that Sheikh Pakistan was appointed in 2024 replacing Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi.

Pakistan’s Monday resignation was the climax of issues trailing his watch over NAHCON including incompetence, maladministration and alleged corrupt practices.

The former NAHCON boss was criticised over his shoddy handling of this year’s hajj that may lead to the inability of many would-be pilgrims to perform the yearly pilgrimage.

One NAHCON source who pleaded not to be mentioned said: “Saudi authorities had earlier given Monday, February 9 as the last day for the capturing of the pilgrims’ papers.

“But by that date most pilgrims, medical and operational staff, among others, were yet to be captured as Chairman Pakistan continued to delay the finalization of the process.”

Doris Ogala Exposes Names Of Church Members Pastor Chris Okafor Allegedly Slept With

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reignited controversy after making fresh allegations against Pastor Chris Okafor in a series of strongly worded social media posts.

In the posts, Ogala warned the clergyman to desist from speaking publicly about his children, threatening to reveal what she described as damaging information if he continued.

“I dare you to talk about your children again. I will shock you,” Ogala wrote.

The actress accused Pastor Okafor of engaging in inappropriate relationships with women she identified as members of his church choir.

“What kind of man are you?” she asked. “You sent me the n@ked videos of your own daughters just because they condemned you bringing different women at home.”

Ogala went further to list names of women she alleged were involved, claiming they were active church members.

“Amaka, Chioma, Ezinne. Nwanyi Onitsha. All names are choir members and church members you sleep with,” she wrote.

Ogala also accused the pastor of lying about the paternity of his children and attempting to silence them.

“How can you lie about the paternity of your own children and expect them to keep quiet?” she wrote.

She alleged that Pastor Okafor resorted to intimidation behind the scenes while publicly granting media interviews.

“You go behind begging and blackmailing them, yet you are going up and down granting interviews,” Ogala claimed.

In another post, the actress directly challenged the pastor to release DNA test results involving his children.

Chris Okafor, I dare you to post those DNA about your children,” she wrote.

She warned that releasing such results would prompt further disclosures from her end.

“Then I will expose how you obtained that fake DNA and our conversation in that regard,” Ogala added.

Ogala said she initially avoided getting involved in the matter, especially where the children were concerned.

“I didn’t want to join issues with you and your children,” she wrote, before adding, “But this is pure wickedness, and I warned you when you were plotting that.”

Panic As Boko Haram Terrorists Reportedly Issue Threat Letter To Another Kwara Community

Published

on

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists affiliated with Jama’atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) are reported to have sent a threatening letter to residents of Dunshigogo community in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State.

According to SaharaReporters, it was gathered that the letter, allegedly delivered to the community, warned residents that the insurgents would soon visit the area — a language similar to a previous threat issued to Worro community, where more than 170 people were later slaughtered in a de@dly attack.

It was learnt that the letter has caused panic among residents of Dunshigogo, with many considering fleeing the community amid fears of an imminent attack.

“Information reaching me now is that Dunshigogo still under Kaiama Local Government has been served same letter, like that of Worro by terrorists.

“I understand that businesses are already closing up and people are fleeing en mass.

“I don’t even know who to call on now that won’t sabotage the lives of these people,” a top source revealed.

Efforts by SaharaReporters to independently verify and obtain a copy of the alleged letter were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, security agencies in Kwara State have yet to issue an official statement on the reported threat.

Kwara State, previously considered relatively insulated from large-scale insurgent violence, has in recent years witnessed increasing security threats, including attacks linked to armed groups operating along forest corridors connecting the North-Central and North-West regions.

On February 4, 2026, SaharaReporters reported that dozens of people have been brutally massacred following a coordinated and de@dly attack by suspected Sahel-backed terrorists on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Among those k!lled in the bloody onslaught are two wives of the Emir of Woro, several of his children, the Chief Imam of Woro, a school principal, a headmistress, and students who had just returned home from school.

The Emir himself, Alhaji Saliu Bio Umar, is currently missing, sparking fears that he may have been abducted or k!lled by the attackers.

SaharaReporters gathered that the terrorists are allegedly linked to a Sadiku-led Boko Haram faction with suspected operational ties to terrorist networks operating across the Sahel region.

The attackers reportedly invaded Woro last Tuesday evening, unleashing unprecedented violence on residents and passersby.

The terrorists k!lled indiscriminately, slaughtering men, women, and children.

“They were k!lling anyone they met,” a source had said, adding that travellers passing through Woro to other destinations were also murdered during the rampage.

The Chief Imam of Woro, regarded as a key religious figure in the area, was also k!lled, alongside a school principal and a headmistress. Several students who had just returned from school were not spared.

The attackers also reportedly slit the throats of some victims, particularly farmers and traders who had travelled from Ilorin to Woro for agricultural and commercial activities. These individuals were caught unawares as the militants swept through the area.

Several lifeless bodies were seen lying on the ground, while some buildings in the community have been burnt.

A voice in the video confirmed that the Emir was missing and that his wives and children had been k!lled, as flames engulfed sections of the palace.
