Nollywood actress and producer Mary Remmy Njoku has stirred conversation online after sharing her thoughts about children attending sleepovers.

In a post on Instagram, the filmmaker said she struggles to see any real advantage of kids spending the night outside their homes.

She wrote:

“I’m struggling to see the upside of sleepovers for kids. What are they doing at night that they can’t do during the day?
Maybe I’m just old school, but the downsides feel heavier than the benefits.”

She added that in her opinion, there are almost no upsides, stressing that such arrangements can open the door to risks parents may not be fully aware of.
