Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, on Tuesday led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, at the Nigerian Army Headquarters, Abuja.

The delegation included the House of Representatives member representing Oju/Obi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. David Ogewu, and the Founder of G12 Foundation, Hon. Joseph Oche.

The visit was aimed at appreciating the Chief of Army Staff for his efforts and concern in addressing the growing insecurity in Benue State, particularly in the Benue South Senatorial District, where attacks and killings have become persistent and devastating.

During the meeting, Senator Moro and his team formally requested the deployment of more troops to vulnerable communities and the establishment of a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in one of the high-risk areas within the senatorial district.

In his response, the Chief of Army Staff thanked the delegation for the thoughtful visit and described it as a morale boost that would further strengthen the Army’s resolve to bring lasting peace to the region.

He assured the delegation that their requests would be given due consideration, though he acknowledged the current operational limitations faced by the military.

The young TikTok user who went viral for accusing Senator Ned Nwoko of allegedly asking him to kill Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has now issued a tearful apology, claiming the entire allegation was “just content.”

In the video, the young man—who identifies himself as “Liar of TikTok”—went on his knees begging the senator for forgiveness, insisting he never expected the situation to escalate.

According to him, the original full video wasn’t posted, and the edited clip circulating online has now put him in serious trouble.

He repeatedly begged: “Good morning sir, I am very, very sorry. Please forgive me. It was content. I didn’t know it would reach this level… I have nobody. No father, no mother. Please sir, I’m begging you with the God you serve. Forgive me.”

This comes hours after Senator Ned Nwoko announced he had instructed his lawyers to petition security agencies over ongoing cyber harassment and defamation targeted at him.
