Rapper Nelly’s Abandoned 11,000 sq.ft. Mansion in Missouri that’s been Deteriorating for 2 decades.

Published

on

Nelly bought the mansion in 2002 with a plan to renovate and give it to his Sister Jackie.

Nelly’s plans to renovate the mansion involved updating the kitchen, gutting the bathrooms, adding flooring, and fixing up the pool.

However due to different reasons the project was eventually abandoned and the home sat in decay for 2 decades, finally selling in 2021 to a new owner. Sadly, the mansion is still in decay and has been trashed by Tiktokers and other visitors.

The mansion is located in Wildwood, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, and features views of the Meramec River valley.

The mansion boasts a palatial, Tuscan-style design with multiple rooms having their own balconies, a private basketball court, a three-car garage, and recreational space.

“Stop Calling Us Ogechi Boys” – Singer Brown Joel Clears the Air

Published

on

Singer Brown Joel has addressed misconceptions surrounding him and his collaborators on the hit track Ogechi, saying they are not a group and should not be called “Ogechi boys.”

In a recent video, Brown Joel said:

> “We’re not a group. We’re friends and individual artists. There’s no contract binding us as a crew.”

He also made a subtle jab at streaming numbers, saying:

> “When you get to a concert, real humans will sing for you. Not digital numbers.”

Brown Joel described himself and his collaborators as independent acts, not tied to any formal collective.

A review of Linda Ikeji’s movie, Reverse.

Published

on

A good story is the foundation of every great movie, and this applies in Reverse.

The movie aptly employs flashbacks to keep you guessing, revealing important details at just the right moment.

Watching this movie felt like being in a game of whack-a-mole. It depicts one of those bad days where you’re hopping about, quenching fires, and as soon as you succeed in suppressing one, another erupts.

It also manages to evoke deep emotions and leaves you with questions and “if onlys” – If only Edna had resolved the issue amicably earlier, if only the CFO had been less rigid…

The actors were perfectly cast; the family members all look alike, making their story believable.

The actors also interpreted their roles well. I’d forgotten how good an actress Hilda Dokubo is.

The story is relevant and subtly addresses a number of topical issues in Nigeria. We see the welder who brazenly abuses his apprentice and nobody bats an eye, the incompetence of artisans, the unscrupulous bystander who plays a fast one on a family during a crisis, the hospital’s payment before treatment policy…

What I enjoyed the most about Reverse is the unpredictability. Don’t try to guess, just allow for the many moments of surprises.

I also love that the movie manages to be didactic without being preachy.

Having seen this movie, I have two messages to pass along:

Go and see Reverse between now and Thursday, May 22 (swipe for cinemas and show times).

Don’t leave just yet when the end credits start rolling in.

Tension gripped Ikire, a town in Irewole local government area of Osun State, on Sunday following an attack on the convoy of popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.

The attack, which occurred in the afternoon, involved suspected hoodlums who reportedly stoned and shot at the vehicles in the convoy, including a black Hummer Jeep and a white Hilux truck.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said the vehicles sustained visible damage.

However, it remains unclear whether any member of Pasuma’s team was injured during the incident.

A video that has since gone viral on social media shows a chaotic scene, with people screaming in the background and one voice lamenting in Pidgin English, “Kasala don burst for Ikire. They don attack us. They carry gun shoot us but God dey.”

Efforts by journalists to reach the Fuji musician or his management team for comments were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

Local residents expressed shock over the incident, which disrupted activities in the area and caused temporary panic among passers-by and business owners.

Pasuma was reportedly in the state for a performance, though the exact details of his visit have not been confirmed.

As at the time of this report, the Osun State Police Command has not released an official statement regarding the attack or whether arrests have been made.
