Tension in Kano as man remains hanging in tall billboard, attempts taking own life

An unidentified man has climbed a tall billboard at Gadar Lado area in Zaria road, Kano state in a suspected attempt to commit suicide on Monday.
Eyewitnesses said the man has remained perched on the billboard for over an hour, muttering inaudibly to himself.
His actions have caused a severe traffic gridlock in the area, prompting swift intervention from the police to manage the growing crowd and restore order.
An eyewitness Mujahid Ameenu told Ekwutosblog that the man had been atop the billboard for over an hour now.
“We still don’t know why he is up there. I was passing when I saw the crowd and stopped to see what was going on. The police are doing their best to disperse the crowd so traffic can start flowing again”
As at the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to confirm the man’s identity or his motive for the daring act though speculations are running wild among those gathered that it could be due to economic frustrations.
He remains on top of the billboard even as this report was filed.
