A conversation between Veekee James’ former best friend MizWanneka and another colleague was leaked online.

In the chat, MizWanneka discussed Femi’s promiscuous lifestyle and their extravagant wedding celebration that lasted for more than two weeks.

Femi Atere, Veekee James’ husband, was MizWanneka’s business manager.

MizWanneka was also Veekee James’ closest friend until things broke down between the three of them.

In the viral leaked chat, MizWanneka revealed that she wasn’t invited to the wedding and held no grudges against them.

Oyo shares free tickets for Davido’s Ibadan concert

The Oyo State Government has approved the distribution of thousands of free tickets for young people across the state to attend Davido’s ‘5ive Tour’ concert in Ibadan, the state capital.

The state confirmed the development in a post shared on its official X handle on Friday, noting that the initiative aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s push towards youth empowerment and support for the state’s creative economy.

The government said, “In line with Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and creative industry support, we are excited to announce that thousands of free tickets have been approved for young people across Oyo State to attend Davido’s ‘5ive Tour’ in Ibadan!”

According to the announcement, ticket distribution will commence by 9am on Saturday, November 8 at the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development within the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Secretariat, Ibadan.

It added that allocation will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

The statement continued, “Distribution is expected to begin exactly at 9:00am with officials encouraging interested youths to come early as tickets will be allocated on First come, First served basis.”

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, had earlier announced that the Nigerian leg of his 5ive Tour would kick off in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on October 26; move to Yola, Adamawa, on October 29; Enugu on November 1; before stopping in Ibadan on November 9 and Lagos on December 25.

The multiple award-winning artiste had expressed excitement about performing at home following his North American tour, describing the Nigerian edition as special to him.

The Ibadan show is being organized in partnership with the Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development.

Grammy-Award winning Beninese artist, Angelique Kidjo, has opened up on her choice to not make music for politicians.

While speaking on the Female Poets Society podcast, Kidjo explained the reason behind her choice, stating that some songs lose relevance after regime change.

She further explained that her decision came from an advice her father gave to her, noting that political songs are often time bound.

“My father always used to say to us, especially to me as a singer, do not write music for any political party because they come and they go. And once they’re gone, you go with it. Write your music with your opinions, be free writing your music. Don’t be sold to somebody because therefore, you don’t become the voice of the people anymore. You become the voice of the power. And when that power shifted, you’re off the window,” she stated.
