At least 42 countries are now through to the 2026 World Cup.

On Tuesday night, the likes of Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Scotland, Panama, Haiti and Curacao were able to book their places.

Spain played out a 2-2 draw with Turkey, Scotland saw off 10-man Denmark 4-2, while a 1-1 draw at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina was enough for Austria.

There are now only six spots left for next year’s tournament.

QUALIFIED COUNTRIES:

Host nations: Canada, Mexico, United States

Asia: Australia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Uzbekistan

Africa: Algeria, Cape Verde, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia

Concacaf: Curaçao, Haiti, Panama

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland

Oceania: New Zealand

South America: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay
