Senior British Army Officer Arrested in Nigeria Over Major Arms Smuggling Plot. A British Army officer has been arrested by Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly smuggling weapons into the country.
The arms, including 50 AK-47 rifles, six pump-action shotguns, and over 3,000 rounds of ammunition, were recovered during a covert operation in Delta State.
Authorities are investigating the motive behind the smuggling and potential connections to local or international criminal networks.
