ADC Poised to Welcome Two Serving Governors from South-East
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) South-East Zonal Executive Committee has announced preparations to receive two serving governors into its fold. According to Chilos Godsent, National Vice Chairman South-East, consultations are underway, and the governors are expected to publicly declare their intentions to join the party soon.
This development is part of the party’s efforts to capture the South-East region in the 2027 general elections. Godsent also revealed that several federal and state lawmakers are expected to join the ADC in the coming months.
A federal lawmaker, who wished to remain anonymous, cited the desire to join forces with progressives to unseat the current government, led by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, due to the prevailing economic hardship.
