The Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, has issued a scathing response to Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, following the governor’s comments about the party in an earlier interview on Thursday.
Speaking on Symfoni TV, Abure said the Labour Party had remained silent out of maturity and respect, but felt compelled to respond after what he described as insulting remarks by the governor. “We have waited patiently as matured men,” Abure began, “but today I must respond to the many things Alex Otti said about our party.”
Abure alleged that Otti had insulted the Labour Party leadership, referring to them in derogatory terms. He claimed that Otti accused them of “masturbating” politically and undermined the party’s integrity.
In a sharp rebuttal, Abure fired back with strong words: “Is Alex Otti that I have seen who is not only dwarfy in appearance but also dwarfy in knowledge”
