‘Always do background checks before marrying your partner’ – Chiwetalu Agu warns singles
Veteran Nigerian actor, Chiwetalu Agu has advised singles to always do a background check before getting married.
The actor’s advice came amid the ongoing controversy generated by singer 2Face’s recent divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
In a now trending video shared on Instagram, Agu warned the public against peer pressure and desperate need to get married.
While noting that marriage is not a do or die affair, he urged those in toxic marriages to seek help or run for their lives.
”Marriage is not a do-or-die affair. If you have an abusive partner, or in a toxic relationship, run for your life. If you are not happy in your marriage, seek help or run for your life.
“Divorce is better than rest in peace. I want to stay because of my children or because he is rich. That was how a lady was burnt to death by her husband. Now, who will take care of the kids? Is it the husband that killed you? Or the relatives who love their own families?
“Always remember to do a background checks before proceeding to marrying someone. She is beautiful or he is handsome; I want to marry him or her by all means, see you, see death.
“My mates are all married, but I’m still single, see you, see death. I pray we don’t make mistakes that will cost us our life in the name of marriage in Jesus name.”

Jason Derulo vows never to be alone with female colleague over lawsuit
American singer Jason Derulo has announced that he will never again be alone in a room with a female colleague.
He said his decision stemmee from a nearly two-year sexual harassment lawsuit that has cost him millions despite being dismissed twice in other jurisdictions.
In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Derulo said, “I will never be alone in a room with a woman that I work with… ever, ever again. That case was dismissed twice. And I lost so many brand deals, relationships off of a story that was not even slightly believable. Why didn’t they post the dismissal at least? Wouldn’t that be fair?”
The interview came as aspiring singer Emaza Dilan has refiled her sexual harassment lawsuit against Derulo in New York, after similar claims were dismissed on procedural grounds in California and Nevada.
Although no court has yet ruled on the substance of the allegations, Derulo said the lingering accusations have already cost him major brand partnerships and prompted him to fundamentally change how he interacts with women in professional settings.

Person wey Soso bring make I sign I say I no wan sign because I no see the future. Time go tell – Kcee finally addresses the long-rumoured rift with Flavour (WATCH).
Nigerian singer Kcee has finally addressed the long standing rumours of a rift between himself and fellow artiste Flavour, shedding new light on the issue during an interview on Yanga FM. In his explanation, Kcee revisited the period when music executive Soso Soberekon allegedly introduced Flavour to him for a possible record deal, a proposal he said he turned down at the time. Recalling the moment in his own words, Kcee said, “…person wey Soso bring make I sign? I don dey drive Hummer, Navigator, dey ball before im from East come. I was a freaking big boy… I say I no wan sign because . I no see the future at that point. Time go tell.” He stressed that the rejection was not driven by personal animosity but by his inability at the time to foresee Flavour’s future in the industry.
The singer also referenced his earlier social media outburst in which he called out individuals he accused of acting like custodians of culture simply because he featured a similar artiste to Flavour in one of his projects. According to Kcee, he does not believe the reported tension between them stemmed from the rejected deal but rather from what he described as a superiority complex. He explained that some of his colleagues, in his view, underrate his talent largely because he does not openly brag about his achievements. “The truth is that when some people had written you off, hoping that you would be stagnant, and you work hard and get to a level they don’t expect you to reach, that was what happened,” he said.
Expanding further, Kcee insisted that his journey in the industry predates Flavour’s rise to fame, noting that he was already enjoying success and an affluent lifestyle before Flavour relocated to Lagos. He also said a lot of his colleagues underrate his talent, mostly because of his humility and because he doesn’t brag.
