Singer Beyoncé has made history by becoming the first Black woman to top the Hot Country Songs chart with her hit track, Texas Hold ‘Em.

Texas Hold ‘Em, which was released on February 11, pushed back Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves’ duet, I Remember Everything, from the top spot, where it has sat for 20 weeks.

The 32-time Grammy winner’s other country track, 16 Carriages, which dropped on the same day as Texas Hold ‘Em, debuted at number 9.

Meanwhile, the outlet added that 16 Carriages drew ‘10.3 million streams, 90,000 in radio reach and 14,000 sold.’

She is currently the first and only woman to have topped both Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

The performer’s latest accomplishment comes after her fans forced a country music radio station to play Texas Hold ‘Em after they initially refused.

Last week, a Twitter user under the handle @jussatto said that the Ada, Oklahoma-based country music station KYKC had declined their request to play her new single Texas Hold ‘Em.

‘I requested Texas Hold ‘Em at my local country radio station (KYKC) and after requesting, I received an email from the radio station stating “We do not play Beyoncé on KYKC as we are a country music station,”‘ the social media user said, along with a screenshot of the reply they received from the radio station.

The user added: ‘This station needs to be held accountable for their blatant racism and discrimination against Beyoncé.’

Nigerian singer, Blackface, has said the notion that he accuses his colleagues of stealing his intellectual property for fun was flawed, stressing that none of those he has accused has denied committing the crime.

He said most of his colleagues are jacking his songs because they love his vibe.

However, he mentioned that they were doing it wrong by not crediting him.

Speaking in a recent interview with TVC, Blackface said, “People jack my vibes. They love them. It’s not their fault. If I was not me, I would be jacking me too.

“All my songs are being jacked because when you release a song it becomes a published work. The songs are all registered. There’s no song that’s released that’s not registered. Once it is in the public domain, it’s a published work. Was it published before your work?

“It’s not about whether I’ve viable proofs or not. The truth is that the action is wrong. So many Nigerian artists have jacked my songs. And these people that I’ve complained about, they have never for once denied it. So you people would have seen that and say there’s an iota of truth in what Blackface is saying.”

Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has appealed to singer Burna Boy to secure the release of his colleague, Speed Darlington.

Recall that Speed Darlington was arrested after suggesting that Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with embattled American music executive Diddy in a bid to win a Grammy.

Darlington’s continued detention, despite a court order for his release, has elicited mixed reactions both online and offline.

Joining the call for the rapper’s release, socialite Bobrisky appealed to Burna Boy to intervene, stressing that 45 days in detention was enough punishment.

On his Instagram Story, Bobrisky wrote:

“I just wanna mind my business this year and stay away from anything that connects with Nigerian celebrities. But my soft heart won’t stop me from thinking of many things.

“Pls Burna Boy, forgive Speed [Darlington]. Pls, prison is not a nice place. I don’t think he has money for a VIP section cos it’s expensive.”
