Anambra Assembly Appoints Hon. Mimi Ifeoma Azikiwe as Committee Chairman, Deputy Chairman

The Anambra State House of Assembly on Tuesday announced new committee leadership appointments during its plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, PhD.

Barely 2 month of becoming an honorable member, Hon. Mimi Ifeoma Azikiwe, who represents Onitsha North Constituency 1, was appointed Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Welfare and Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Public Petitions.

The appointments highlight the confidence of the 8th Assembly in her ability to deliver effectively in both positions.

Hon. Azikiwe pledged her commitment to carrying out her duties with diligence and empathy, stressing her readiness to contribute meaningfully to the welfare and social development of Ndi Anambra.

The 8th Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Udeze, has continued to record legislative progress, with members taking on new roles aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery in the state.
