Anambra To Seize Places Used As Quarters For Child Beggars
Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) at its 10th meeting held at the new government house has decided to confiscate and seal facilities used as quarters for child beggars
ANSEC stated that its stance is in accordance with the Anambra Homeland Security Law 2025, which states that premises used as holding places for child beggars will be closed and seized going forward.
The State’s Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, stated that the move is to ensure the safety of the people to make Anambra a crime-free state.
He stated that the Anambra Homeland Security Law which birthed the security system, Agunechemba, and the Operation Udo Ga-Achi (meaning peace shall reign) security operatives launched in January by the Soludo administration, is aimed at eliminating all sorts of criminality from the state and make it a place where people can live without fear of being disturbed by criminals.
