Anger In Nigeria As Some Governors, Including Hope Uzodimma Who Has Lost Part Of Imo To Domestic T3rrorists, Left Their Respective States To Fly To Abuja Just To Wave ‘Bye Bye’ To Tinubu Who Departed Nigeria To Begin Annual Leave In Europe.

Nigeria’s governors are facing backlash after being spotted waving goodbye to President Bola Tinubu as he departed Abuja for his annual leave in Europe.

The governors, including Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who has been struggling with insecurity issues in his state, were criticized for prioritizing this gesture over their responsibilities in their respective states.

The photo of the governors and a minister bidding farewell to Tinubu sparked outrage online, with many questioning the significance of such a practice. Critics argue that the governors should focus on addressing the needs of their constituents rather than engaging in what appears to be a publicity stunt.

Many Nigerians expressed disappointment and frustration on social media, with some commenting that the governors’ actions showcased a lack of seriousness and dedication to their duties. Some notable reactions include:

“Every right-thinking Nigerian should be embarrassed and angry that governors would rather devote their time to a shameful venture like this.”

“These governors are only working hard to please the President so that they can retain their seats through rigging during elections.”

“Is this a protocol or just a show of loyalty?”

As elected officials, governors are expected to prioritize the welfare and security of their constituents.

In Imo State, for instance, Governor Uzodimma faces challenges related to domestic terrorism, which has reportedly led to the loss of part of the state.

Critics argue that such issues should take precedence over ceremonial gestures.
