APP unveils interim state executive in Imo
The Action Peoples Party has unveiled its interim State Executive Committee in Imo State.
This was revealed in a statement on Friday, jointly signed by the party’s National Chairman, Uchenna Nnadi, and National Secretary, Abu Bossan.
The statement named Ernest Njesi as Interim Chairman, Emeka Onwukwe as Secretary, and Emma Bukar as Organising Secretary.
“The new executives are mandated to consolidate grassroots structures and strengthen mobilization across the 27 local government areas of Imo State,” the statement read.
It added that the unveiling followed weeks of quiet consultations led by Dr Chima Amadi, a frontline governorship hopeful and founder of The Mazi Organisation, who recently adopted the APP as his platform for the 2027 governorship race.
Under the party’s zoning arrangement, Orlu Zone produced the Chairman, Owerri Zone produced the Secretary, and Okigwe Zone the Organising Secretary.
In its message to the new officers, the APP national leadership congratulated them and urged them to serve with “dedication, unity, and integrity,” stressing that the party’s growth would depend on inclusive and disciplined mobilization.
