Appeal Court Sacks Samuel Anyanwu (Sam Daddy) As PDP National Secretary, Affirms Ude-Okoye
It can be recalled that the South East Zonal Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in October 2023, unanimously adopted Sunday Kelly Enemchukwu Udeh-Okoye, a former National Youth Leader of the Party as its choice replacement for National Secretary – Sen. Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, then a Gubernatorial Candidate of the Party in the November 11 Imo Governorship race.
However, in November 2023, the PDP National Working Committee rejected Ude-Okoye’s nomination despite a subsisting Enugu High Court order, insisting that the Office of National Secretary was never vacant and thus a “family affair that can be amicably resolved.”
Consequently, an Abuja Federal High Court on 9th January 2024, affirmed Anyanwu as substantive National Secretary, an order that has kept him in office till date.
