Breaking News: Governor Soludo Approves 100% Implementation of CONHESS for Anambra Health Workers

In a significant development for health workers in Anambra State, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has approved the full implementation of the 2024 Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS).

This approval, announced in a circular dated October 2, 2025, takes immediate effect and covers various categories of health professionals, including :
Nurses and Nurse Anaesthetists/Psychiatric Nurses :  Their salaries will now be fully aligned with the CONHESS structure.

Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians*: They will also benefit from the 100% implementation of CONHESS.

Pharmacy Technicians : Their salaries will be adjusted to reflect the new structure.

Radiographers: They will receive full benefits under the CONHESS structure.

Physiotherapists : Their compensation will be updated accordingly.

Community Health Technicians: They will also benefit from the full implementation of CONHESS.
– *Dental Therapists*: Their salaries will be adjusted to align with the new structure.

This move is expected to boost the morale of health workers in the state and improve healthcare delivery. The governor’s approval is in response to the long-standing demands of health workers who had been advocating for full implementation of CONHESS since its approval in 2010 and review in 2023.

The directive applies to all relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Local Government Service Commission, Accountant-General for the State, and Accountant-General for Local Governments, ensuring immediate implementation.
