The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognized Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) as the legitimate National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reaffirming the authority of the newly formed National Working Committee.

Ekwutosblog gathered that INEC rejected a letter from suspended members Mohammed Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, who falsely claimed to be Acting Chairman and Secretary, requesting a postponement of the Ekiti governorship primaries.

The commission declared their letter invalid, citing their suspension on November 1 for misconduct, which was later upheld at the PDP national convention.

At the convention in Ibadan, delegates confirmed Turaki’s election and ratified the expulsion of Anyanwu, Abdulrahman, Nyesom Wike, and Ayo Fayose for running parallel structures, abusing court processes, and engaging in anti-party activities.

This development marks a significant milestone for the PDP, paving the way for the Ekiti governorship primaries to proceed as scheduled.
