BREAKING NEWS: Onye Eze Jesus Denies Involvement in Arrest of his Wife and Mother-in-Law, Says Anambra Government Was Responsible
In a new statement, popular Dibia prophet, Onye Eze Jesus, has spoken out about the recent arrests of his wife and her mother, claiming that it was not his decision to have them detained. He stated that it was the Anambra State Government that took action, arresting them in connection with his kidnapping. He further added that it is now up to them to clear their names with the government.
Onye Eze Jesus, who made headlines following his kidnapping in October last year and the subsequent arrests of those involved, made it clear that he had no role in the detentions. While some of his captors have been arrested and the house where he was held demolished, he emphasized that he never called for specific arrests. He explained that all arrests made by the Anambra State Government were based on their security intelligence.
“I want it to be clear that I didn’t call for anyone’s arrest. The only thing I did was mention those I saw and the house where I was kept during my kidnapping. It’s now up to the authorities to figure out who they were working with,” he stated.
He also addressed those defending the arrested people online, urging them to be prepared to explain their stance if questioned by the authorities.
Onye Eze Jesus also revealed that he personally paid a ransom of ₦90 million to secure his release, but the kidnappers still refused to let him go. He emphasized that he never asked anyone to raise funds for him through donations. He further stated that if anyone had donated money on his behalf, they should approach the person they donated to and request their money back. He expressed frustration that , Some Ndi Dibia of being involved in his ordeal, and vowed that everyone who played a part in his kidnapping would be held accountable.
“I’m certain that everyone who had a hand in my kidnapping, including some Ndi Dibia, will face justice,” he said firmly.
