Breaking News: Rift Deepens in Imo ADC as Ihedioha, Udenwa Clash Over Party Congress, Success Opara, IMO ADC DNA kick.
A new development has emerged in the internal rift within the Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), with former Governor Emeka Ihedioha walking out on a meeting with former Governor Achike Udenwa over insistence on a party congress.
Sources indicate that Udenwa insisted on holding a party congress, which Ihedioha opposed, leading to the walkout. This latest development has further deepened the crisis within the party, with some factions aligning with Ihedioha and others with Udenwa.
The Imo ADC had earlier been thrown into turmoil following the emergence of a new factional leadership, with Comrade Ogbonna Vitalis Chima as the new chairman. The faction accused James Okoroma, the former chairman, of selling the party’s soul to the Rebuild Imo movement, allegedly in exchange for personal political relevance.
