The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has finally complied with the order of the Federal High Court in Abuja to defend the terrorism charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

According to the latest report, Kanu is currently filing his defence documents inside the courtroom, as directed by Justice James Omotosho.
Following a series of complaints by Kanu, the judge ordered that the court’s registry be temporarily relocated to his courtroom to facilitate the filing.

Counsel to the Federal Government, Adegboyega Awomolo, told the court he would receive Kanu’s defence documents in the courtroom and respond appropriately.
As of press time, the filing of the defence documents was ongoing, prompting the judge to stand down proceedings for an hour.

Until now, Kanu had consistently refused to open his defence, demanding to first see the specific terrorism law he is accused of violating.
