China’s Unwavering Support for Nigeria Lauded – Sen Shehu Sani

Former Senator Shehu Sani has praised China for its steadfast support and friendship towards Nigeria. In a statement posted on his Twitter handle, @ShehuSani, Sani noted that China has been a reliable ally, opening its doors to Nigerian citizens and providing resources for infrastructure development.

Sani expressed appreciation for China’s refusal to stigmatize Nigeria as a country of drug and cyber criminals, despite many Nigerians facing visa denials and deportation from other countries, including within Africa.

“We will forever note China’s solidarity and voice for our sovereignty at this time in our history,” Sani said.

The former senator also made an appeal to China, urging it not to adopt the policy of assessing people’s social media history before granting visas. He also appealed to Nigerians not to compel China to adopt such a policy.

Sani’s statement highlights the strong bilateral relationship between Nigeria and China, with China emerging as a key partner in Nigeria’s development efforts.
