Customs intercepts lion cub, monkeys on Badagry–Seme road
The Nigeria Customs Service, Seme Command, has intercepted a vehicle transporting a lion cub and two Patas monkeys during a stop-and-search along the Badagry–Seme Expressway.
The animals, allegedly bought in Kano and headed for Benin Republic, were seized and handed over to the Greenfingers Wildlife Initiative. Two suspects were arrested as the command investigates possible links to a wider wildlife trafficking network.
