He called on Chief Ohakim not to allow miscreants and political Jobbers to deceive him come 2028.
Alleging that the former governor is out for a political fight, a revenge mission and not for governance, he admonished him to think of peace and unity of Imo State, saying; ‘a word is enough for the wise, No more no less Owerri zone is ripe to produce Governor come 2027’
He seized the opportunity provided by the media chat to commend a grate and dynamic Leader from Owerri Zone Prince Charles Amadi (Chavon) for his emphatic analysis on zoning, his stand in 2015 Governorship Election, his stand come 2027 Imo Guber. and for standing firm on the decisions of Imo Council of Elders.

Presidential ticket: We’re under pressure to zone – ADC

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has said it’s under pressure to zone its presidential ticket in 2027.
ADC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Jackie Wayas, said the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, holds the final decision on zoning or rotation of the presidential ticket.
Wayas also disclosed that the ADC is deliberating on either adopting zoning or open primary system in deciding its presidential flag bearer.
“There is a lot of pressure to zone and, at the same time, not to zone the presidential ticket.
“There can only be one presidential candidate on the ballot come 2027 from the ADC, and the final decision on zonal rotation or open competition will definitely come down to our internal party negotiation and NEC guidelines,” she told Vanguard.
Wayas said ADC’s foremost priority is rescuing Nigeria from its present challenges and placing the nation’s interest above all else.

I’m fit – Akpabio finally returns from London, makes promise to Nigerians

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, on Monday, came back to Nigeria after what his media office described as a short vacation in London.
This is even as Akpabio promised Nigerians “robust legislative engagements” when the senate resumes from recess.
Akpabio, who arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 4am , was received at the presidential wing by senators, aides, and supporters.
The Senate President’s return comes after rumours circulated on social media that he was critically ill and hospitalised in London.
However, speaking with journalists on his return to the country at the airport, Akpabio dismissed the reports, describing them as “the imagination of the purveyors”.
“There’s nothing like such. I’m fit as a fiddle. I only stopped over in London for a short vacation,” he said.
Ekwutosblog reported that Akpabio had earlier attended the sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 29 to 31, before proceeding to the UK.
According to him, the Nigerian delegation at the conference played a significant role in advocating for deeper democratic governance and better synergy between arms of government.
