Emotions Overflow as Large Gathering Attends Aduke Gold’s Candlelight Vigil at Ogba
Following weeks of widespread news about the unexpected death of Nigerian gospel artist Aduke Ajayi, known as Aduke Gold, details of her funeral rites have now surfaced. Footage from the candlelight vigil held in her memory has been shared, evoking strong feelings online.
Relatives, friends, and fellow musicians were all present at the vigil, which began late on Thursday, August 21. The event took place at Ifako-Ijaiye Road, off College Way, Ogba, Lagos.
It was reported that Aduke Gold had been fighting cervical cancer and passed away after undergoing surgery at the University College Hospital in Ibadan.
