Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted their chances of qualifying for the Champions League have improved, following a 1-0 win over Wolves on Friday night.

Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the game in the first half.

The Belgian midfielder, who is set to leave City this summer, stroked home a low cross from compatriot Jeremy Doku.

The win takes Guardiola’s men into third place with 64 points, with three Premier League fixtures left.

Speaking to the BBC after the game, Guardiola was asked about Champions League qualification.

He replied: “We are better than [we were] weeks ago and we have done five, six games winning and other teams have dropped points.

“If we play like we did today, it is really good but we cannot relax.

“Winning in that way is good because it will make us realise that we still need to work.”
