The Federal Government of Nigeria has appointed eight new Deputy Corps Marshals (DCMs) to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
The appointments were made to fill existing vacancies in different geopolitical zones and to replace retiring officers ². Here are the details of the appointments:
– *New Appointments:*
– DCM Clement Oladele to represent North Central geopolitical zone
– DCM Chidiebere Nkwonta to represent South East geopolitical zone
– DCM Sunday Iyamah to represent South South geopolitical zone
– DCM Musa Yerima to represent North West geopolitical zone
– DCM Abiodun Akinlade to represent South West geopolitical zone (effective August)
– *Retirements:*
– DCM Kingsley Agomoh
– DCM Jonas Agwu
– DCM Zubairu Mato
– *Purpose of Appointments:*
– To fill existing vacancies in different geopolitical zones
– To replace retiring officers
– To eradicate Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) and create a safer motoring environment in the country
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, expressed delight over the level of transparency and objectivity in the appointment process and urged the appointed officers to show more commitment and rededicate themselves to achieving the corporate vision of the Corps.
