Parents and students of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Owerri are facing significant challenges during the clearance process for returning students. According to Ekwutosblog, the process is marred by inefficiency, with students and parents forced to wait for over 3 to 4 hours to obtain clearance forms.

The situation has sparked concerns about the management of the school, with many calling for intervention from relevant authorities. Some have even warned of an imminent stampede due to the long waiting periods.

One of the major issues raised is the alleged refusal of the school management to allow Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) elections, with claims that the management wants to impose their preferred candidates.

The clearance process, which is supposed to be a straightforward procedure, has been described as taking up to 5 to 6 hours to complete. This has led to frustration among parents and students, who are demanding change.

The hashtag #SackFGGCOwerriPrincipal is trending, with many calling for the removal of the school’s principal over allegations of corruption and mismanagement.

The situation has sparked an outcry, with many urging the Ministry of Education and the President to intervene and address the issues plaguing FGGC Owerri.
