Gunmen Abduct Two Staff Of Adekunle Ajasin University In Ondo State
The victims were reportedly seized from their residence in Akungba-Akoko, located in Akoko South West Local Government Area.
Two staff members of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), were abducted by gunmen on Monday evening, sparking renewed concerns over security in Ondo State.

Confirming the incident on Tuesday in Akure, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, said operatives had launched a manhunt for the suspects.
“Yes, two AAUA staff were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers. However, our men responded quickly and were able to rescue one of them.
“The Commissioner of Police has directed that the rescued individual be debriefed for possible intelligence that may assist in our ongoing efforts to rescue the remaining person,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that one of the victims, Omoniyi Eleyinmi, is a faculty officer in the Faculty of Education and a member of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) at the university.
He was reportedly abducted around 7pm on Monday from his residence along Supare-Akoko Road in Akungba-Akoko.
