I want to register my Busin£ss with CAC (c0porate affairs c0mmission) Atanda, but i don’t know if I should R£gister as a Busin£ss name or as a Limited Liability C0mpany Atanda pls, can you guide me and advice me on the best option to choose I am into Dry Cleaning Busin£ss

The best option to choose is Limited Liability Company and i will try my best to give some reasons to why i choose LLC

1. If you register as a Business name, the truth is that
The name is not protected, i no go lie for you

Example,
Atanda FREEbeans Ventures.
Another person can register his own business name as Atanda FREEbeans and Akara Ventures. You see say e go cos confusion

But if you register as LLC and i use Atanda FREEbeans Ventures

Another person can not use that Atanda FREEBeans again

2. Lets talk about TAX.
If you register as a Business name, your business income is seen as your own and the Government will tax you completely from your full income, that means if your business makes one million, they will calculate your Tax from the one million naira

Because, as a Business name, the income of the business is your income, the business is you and you are the business
But if you register as a Limited company, before they will calculate the Tax that you will pay.
You will be allowed to remove expenses like Salaries of your workers, utilities, security and other monthly expenses
What is left as your profit is where they will calculate your Tax from.
Example, if your business makes one million naira and you deduct your expenses, then you are left with 250k as profit, you tax will be calculated from the 250k

3. Lets talk about liability

If you register as a Business name and you eventually get into trouble like involved in crime
They will pick you and seize all your asset including your business

But for Limited company, you are different from the business.
If you commit, they will deal with you only and not your business
