Fenfe son of late Arondizuogu -born music legend Pericomo is seen in a viral video cooking in a pot placed on top of leaves floating on a local stream.

The video is to promote the coming Ikeji Festival. Many may say that this is magic on display.

Others will call it a trick. Still, the viral video helps to add to the mystery and magic of Ikeji Festival. Afterall, Voodoo festivals in Togo and Benin Republic have worldwide following and earn the countries tourism dollars.

Arondizuogu is known for many things including the popular Ikeji Festival where people test each other’s juju skills. There are fables of ‘ito ebune’ and other stories.

A ram is tied with hair thread to a tree, the ram won’t break free and no one can successfully pull the ram free.

Outside the juju contests, Ikeji festival boasts of traditional music, food, masquerade displays etc.

These aspects of Igbo culture should be actively promoted and preserved for the coming generation.
