The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, has officially welcomed 182 newly recruited Police Constables who have been posted to the state after successfully completing their basic training at various Police Colleges across the country.

Addressing the new officers at the Command Headquarters in Owerri, CP Danjuma, who spoke on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, congratulated them on their successful completion of training and reminded them of the sacred duty that comes with wearing the Police uniform.

He emphasized the need for discipline, professionalism, and unwavering respect for human rights in the discharge of their duties. The Police boss reminded them that their deployment was in line with the IGP’s Community-Oriented Policing policy, aimed at enhancing grassroots security and strengthening public trust through effective collaboration with community members.

While cautioning the officers against misconduct, corruption, and acts of indiscipline, CP Danjuma charged them to embody the core values of the Nigeria Police Force — integrity, fairness, and service to humanity. He urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of the Force and to maintain the highest standards of ethical behavior at all times.

Reassuring Imo residents of the Command’s resolve to maintain peace and public safety, the Commissioner disclosed that the addition of the new officers would further boost security visibility across all divisions and enhance the Command’s synergy with sister security agencies in the state.

He concluded by encouraging the officers to perform their duties with dedication and compassion, noting that their conduct and professionalism would determine the level of trust the public reposes in the Nigeria Police Force.
