The Imo State government has debunked claims of the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) roof collapse.

According to a statement by Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic and Creative Media, a minor accident occurred during solar panel installation, which was maliciously exaggerated by an architect with personal grudges against the contractor.

Key Facts:

– The roof remains solid, intact, and structurally sound
– Over 300 solar panels are being installed to make the facility energy-efficient and self-sustaining
– A sudden downpour and strong winds caused light damage to a section under installation
– No structural failure or negligence occurred, and all workers are safe

The government urges the public to separate fact from fabrication and resist those spreading falsehood for personal gain.

The EIICC is a proud monument of Imo State, built to last and serving generations to come.
