IMO STATE GOVERNMENT CRACKS DOWN ON CRIME AND VANDALISM

The Imo State Government has issued a stern warning to criminals and vandals in Owerri metropolis, vowing to take decisive action against those engaging in illegal activities.

In a public service announcement, the government identified several hotspots where criminal activities are rampant, including Douglas Road, Hospital Junction, and Arugo Park.

Ekwutosblog gathered that the  government expressed concern over the rising cases of vandalism, drug peddling, prostitution, and armed robbery in the state.

It also warned against the use of motorcycles (Okada) for criminal activities and unauthorized road digging.

According to the announcement, security agencies have been put on high alert, and a crackdown on criminal elements will commence immediately. Offenders will face swift and severe consequences.

The government called on citizens to join forces with the authorities to combat crime and ensure a safer and more secure Imo State.
