IMO STATE GOVERNMENT THROUGH THE MINISTRY OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ANNOUNCES NEW ACCREDITATION DATE FOR SHORTLISTED TEACHERS’ RECRUITMENT CANDIDATES HAPPENING AT BENJAMIN UWAJUMOGU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, IHITTE UBOMA, IMO STATE.

The Imo State Government, through the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MOPSE), has officially released a notification concerning the accreditation exercise for Teachers’ Recruitment candidates whose names appeared in the Imo State Statesman Newspaper and across various social media platforms in September 2025.
According to the announcement, the exercise will take place at the Benjamin Uwajumogu College of Education, Ihitte Uboma, and has been carefully structured into phases to ensure a seamless process for candidates from across the state.
The Honourable Commissioner for Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. B. T. O. Ikegwuoha, who signed the official release, disclosed that the exercise will be carried out in line with the zonal arrangement of the state, covering the Okigwe, Owerri, and Orlu Senatorial Zones.
Accreditation Schedule by Zones
1. Okigwe Senatorial Zone (6 LGAs)
Date: Tuesday and Wednesday, October 7–8, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2. Owerri Zone (9 LGAs)
Date: Thursday and Friday, October 9–10, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
3. Orlu Zone (12 LGAs)
Date: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, October 12–14, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Prof. Ikegwuoha emphasized that all candidates are strongly advised to strictly adhere to their respective zonal schedules in order to maintain orderliness and avoid unnecessary delays during the accreditation. He further noted that upon arrival, candidates should report directly to the office of the Provost of Benjamin Uwajumogu College of Education, Ihitte Uboma, where they will be guided on the next steps in the process.
The Commissioner assured the public that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and transparent accreditation exercise, urging participants to comply with the outlined dates and times.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of accountability, order, and fairness in the ongoing accreditation, stressing that proper documentation and compliance with official instructions would be essential for candidates’ successful clearance.
This notification serves as an official call to all concerned candidates across Imo State to prepare adequately and present themselves at the venue as scheduled.
