In less than 48 hours, the Jigawa State Government has restored the failed section of the Bagadaza Bridge along the Gwaram–Basirka road, a major link between North-West and North-East states.

The Jigawa State Roads Maintenance Agency (JIRMA), which handled the repairs, has reopened the road to ensure free flow of traffic.

Commuters and residents of the area have commended the state government for its swift response and timely intervention, which they say has averted further hardship and potential danger to road users.
