KALU DECLARES WAR ON ALEX OTTI, PROMISES APC TAKEOVER OF ABIA
Senator Orji Kalu (APC–Abia North) has turned up the heat in Abia State politics, openly vowing to wrest power from the ruling Labour Party and its governor, Dr. Alex Otti, ahead of the 2027 elections. His declaration marks a rare and bold attack on a sitting governor from a former governor with deep influence in the state.
Speaking during his annual New Year visit to Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, APC Chairman in Ebonyi State, Kalu left no room for ambiguity.
“I will support President Bola Tinubu and the APC gubernatorial candidate. I will put my heart on the field to ensure the APC wins a landslide in Abia at the polls,” Kalu said, directly signaling a showdown with Otti. “The incumbent Governor, Dr Alex Otti, is my friend, but I am not discussing politics personally—only the total victory of the APC in the elections.”
