Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, marked a major milestone on September 18, 2025, celebrating his 50th birthday and 25 years in the music industry.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, 2Baba expressed gratitude to God, family, colleagues, and fans for their love and support throughout his career.

Describing his journey as “nothing short of amazing,” 2Baba honored the memories of those who started with him but are no longer present. He acknowledged the crucial role of his loved ones, including his mother, children, wife Natasha, mothers of his children, siblings, and entire family, who have been his backbone.

Fans and fellow artists showered 2Baba with congratulatory messages. President Bola Tinubu praised 2Baba’s contributions to the globalisation of Nigerian music, describing him as a creative force whose artistry and resilience embody the indomitable spirit of Nigeria. 2Baba’s journey to stardom began in the late 1990s as a member of the iconic music group Plantashun Boiz, alongside Blackface and Faze.
