Man Allegedly Stabbed to Death, Found at Refuse Dump
The lifeless body of an unidentified young man has been discovered at a refuse dump along Ogbosisi/Road Safety Road, near Brown Sugar Hotel in Uratta, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.
The victim, whose identity and background remain unknown, was reportedly stabbed at the back before his body was dumped at the location by yet-to-be-identified assailants.
According to eyewitness accounts, the corpse has remained at the scene for over two days without evacuation, raising serious concerns among residents and motorists who ply the busy route daily.
Troubled by the worsening situation, concerned community members are urgently calling on the Executive Council Chairman of Owerri North LGA, Mr. Lucky Agabaronye, to intervene immediately and ensure the body is evacuated, in line with his duties as the Chief Security Officer of the Local Government.
They are also appealing to the Imo State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Ernest Ibejiako (NwaNdaa), to take prompt action to remove the decomposing corpse in the interest of public health and environmental safety.
Residents have expressed fears over the escalating health risks posed by the strong odour emanating from the body, stressing that the environment is becoming increasingly hazardous.

There is now heightened urgency for security agencies to move quickly, uncover those responsible for the gruesome killing, and bring them to justice.
Preliminary reports suggest the victim was allegedly stabbed to death by unknown attackers.
As at the time of filing this distressing report, the Imo State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
