Ministry Of Transport & NURTW Set To Close All Illegal Parks In The State Capital

~ Introduces Consultant For Ministry Of Transport On Commuter Manifest Scheme ~

At the emergency meeting of Imo State chapter of national union of transport workers held 7th June 2024, chaired by the people’s chairman Hon Dr Samuel Udeh JP (Eze Umuokorobia) at the union secretariat office in old Nekede road of Imo State.

The meeting which comprises of branch chairmen, secretaries and treasurer,known as State Executive Council (SEC) had the presence of senior comrad Linus Duru popularly known as Olu Ehime who was introduced by the capacity State Chairman of Imo NURTW as the consultant of Imo State ministry of transport on commuters manifest scheme.

Chief Ukwenga called on the members of the union to give him maximum support and cooperation to enable him achieve positive result for the ministry of transport.

Hon Sam Udeh described Snr comrade Linus Duru as a unionist whom no doubt will work in synergy with the union in the State.

Sagacity State Chairman Hon Amb Samuel Udeh JP FCAI also intimated members of the union about the plans of the ministry of transport to close down illegal parks in the State capital.

Eze Umuokorobia has before now warned members of the union operating in unapproved parks to desist and stop constituting nuisance on the major roads in the State capital.

Chief Samuel further informed the people about readiness of the union leadership in joining hands with the ministry of transport to dismantle all these illegal parks in the State.

He directed that members should adhere to the State approved parks and maintain road orderliness at all times.
