Mohbad: Court Allows Mohbad’s Family To Conduct Independent Autopsy And Toxicology Test

The Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has granted the family of late singer Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Aloba) permission to conduct an independent autopsy and toxicology test.

This comes after the family raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his death and rejected the inconclusive results of the initial autopsy conducted by the Lagos State Government.

The court ordered that the family bear the legal expenses for the toxicology test and that the deceased’s father, mother, and wife be present during the autopsy.

The family’s legal team welcomed the decision, seeking to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death.

The late singer’s wife, Wunmi, also applied to bury him, pending the outcome of the autopsy and toxicology test.

Mohbad’s death in September 2023 sparked controversy, leading to a police investigation and the arrest of several individuals, including Naira Marley and Sam Larry.
