Law parliament

My WC fell on the seat and it got broken due to the nails and wood holding it being weak, Atanda, immediately i rushed out to inform my landlord who is on his way out already,I later sent him the pictures. Atanda, He came to check the next day and was saying I will be the one to fix it because I should have informed him before it broke, i asked him how do I know it wants to break and he said it will have been shaking, I never see any sign of it shaking because I washed my toilet every weekend and no one was there when it broke. And it’s glaring from the nails and wood that it’s weakened, so how is it my fault. But he insisted I will be the one to fix it. Atanda, This is from someone that is increasing a room self contain from 200k to 350k without any renovations, six T£nants on one prepaid, compound not floored, my windows is not an aluminium window.

The position of the law regarding tenancy matter is that

The tenant is responsible for internal repairs

Regardless of other points you made

It does not relate with this issue

It is your responsibility as a Tenant to fix it.

Don’t even think you will fix it and break it back when you are going

As at the time yiu rented the apartment, the WC was in good condition and you must leave it in good condition else,

Your landlord can SU£ you for malicious damage

Ignorance of the law is no excuse
