ABUJA — The Presidency has announced that the next edition of the Progressive Digital Media Summit for the South East zone will be held in Imo State.

This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Hon. Dada Olusegun, during his vote of thanks at the closing session of the just-concluded two-day summit held at the Banquet Hall, State House, Aso Villa, Abuja.

Hon. Olusegun described the choice of Imo State as a deliberate step in recognition of its strategic role in the political future of the South East, especially in strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the region. He noted that Imo, under Governor Hope Uzodimma, has continued to serve as the stronghold and rallying point for progressive digital engagement across the five South East states.

“We have resolved that the next South East zonal edition of the Progressive Digital Media Summit will be held in Imo State,” Olusegun announced. “Imo remains the centre of gravity for the APC in the region, and its importance in helping the party deepen its roots across the South East cannot be overstated.”

He commended the Imo delegation for its strong representation and contributions throughout the summit, saying their performance affirmed the state’s leadership in digital mobilisation for the party.
